We're not in Kansas anymore Toto

Well I got up nice and early this morning (6:30) to catch a minibus over to the main land and I'm currently in Trang. I'm back in thailand now, actually I feel like this is the first time I'm actually in a different country and can really feel it. I mean bangkok is a whole other world by itself but everywhere I've been its been 90% tourist and all the thais spoke english and everything was catered to the tourists. Here I've seen maybe 4 or 5 other tourists all day and everything is actaully thai. Its great but I don't think I'm going to stay here for the 3 days I orignally planned, theres just nothing for me to do unless I want to rent a motorbike and drive to the caves or the waterfalls by myself. Tomorrow I'm thinking of heading up to Bangkok on the overnight train for the Jazz Festival coming up this weekend. I've been walking around for about an hour to find an internet place b/c the one right across from my place was full with thai students doing homework! I'm back here now and it is unreal sitting here surrounded by about of thai students, I get wierd looks everywhere I get but if I just smile at anyone they smile right back. Its so much nicer then everyone looking at you as a walking dollar. Tonight there is apparently a nice night market that has really good food so I'm starving myself until then! Also I saw a truck driving around with a poster in Thai but a picture of a Rooster on the side so I'm thinking there might be cock fights tonight, I just have to find out where and I might go check that out. The place I'm staying is nice, its good to have a flushing toliet again and for an extra dollar a night I got a tv in my room with 150+ channels, altho 98% of them are thai. The room in total is costing about 7 dollars a night and it is bigger then most rooms you'd get in north america for $40-$50.
